TEXAS FISH CHOWDER

Ingredienser

  • 1 pound fish fillets
  • 2 tablespoons chopped bacon
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 1/2 cup diced potatos
  • 1 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 teaspon salt
  • Dash pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • chopped parsley

    Thaw frozen fish. Remove skin and bones from fish. Cut fish into 1 inch pieces. Fry bacon until crisp. Add onion and cook until tender. Add potatos, water, seasonings, and fish. Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until potatos are tender. Add milk and butter. Heat. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve with bread and butter along with a lite salad.
